	I’m Tian (Nono) Qiu, a visual and UI/UX designer based in the Bay Area. I lead design at UpHonest Capital, a Palo Alto venture capital firm, where I own the visual and user-facing side of its investment work. That covers investor presentations, deal materials, and fundraising decks, as well as event branding and business development collateral.

To date, I’ve designed for more than 25 companies, many from the firm’s portfolio, often building complete brand identities from scratch. That includes naming direction, logo and identity systems, typography and color, and the decks, websites, and collateral that carry the brand forward. In working closely with early-stage founders, I have developed strong initiative in leading projects end to end, from setting the creative direction to delivering the finished system, without waiting for a detailed brief. I look for ways branding can do more than make a company look good: sharpening how founders explain what they do, how clients experience the product, and how the company presents itself as it grows.

On the product side, I design websites and client-facing interfaces for the firm and the startups I work with. My work spans user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes, through to polished, responsive UI ready for development. Whether it’s a company’s first website or the screens a client uses every day, I focus on making the experience clear and intuitive, and on keeping it consistent with the brand.

In an industry where timing often decides the outcome, I build speed into my process. I use code and AI tools to automate parts of my workflow, prototype faster, and deliver high-stakes materials on tight fundraising and product-launch timelines without sacrificing quality.

Trained in fine arts and design, I move fluently across disciplines, from drawing, painting, and collage to digital art, brand identity, and interface design. What ties it all together is a minimalist sensibility and a strong eye for clarity, texture, contrast, and composition. I’m always eager to explore new styles, visual directions, and mediums, and to put them to work as the tech landscape evolves. My toolkit includes Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and AI tools such as Claude.
